Jambojet destinations and flight network
Jambojet continues to grow and develop its flight network. The airline currently operates flights on domestic routes from Nairobi to:
Jambojet set a regional record in 2016 by handling over 1,000,000 customers in less than two years of operation. This number is predicted to grow as more Kenyans and foreigners take advantage of low-cost flying. It is estimated that approximately 30% of the Jambojet customers are first-time flyers.
Jambojet has applied for licences to 11 African countries. The airline would like to fly to Dar es Salaam, Zanzibar, and Kilimanjaro in Tanzania and two destinations in Malawi, Blantyre and Lilongwe. Furthermore, they are seeking approval to fly to Uganda, Somalia, Ethiopia and the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC).
The airline also wants to add Vipingo, Garissa and Wajir to its flight network. Jambojet is hoping to fly to some of these new routes in the second half of the year. Jambojet Baggage Allowance
Jambojet Hand luggage
Jambojet passengers are allowed to carry one piece of hand luggage with a maximum weight of 10kgs. The hand luggage dimensions may not exceed: 55cm X 35cm X 25cm
Baggage exceeding these dimensions will be considered oversized and assuming it is within the allowed weight, it shall be accepted as hold (checked in) luggage at an extra charge. This is subject to change without notice.

Currently, Jambojet does not offer a free checked in allowance, but passengers are able to purchase up to two checked in bags. Passengers wishing to take hold luggage can purchase baggage allowance online.

Jambojet codeshare agreements
Kenya Airways has a codeshare agreement for its flights to Malindi, Lamu, Ukunda and Eldoret.
Under the agreement, which took effect on 01 August 2016, Kenya Airways (www.kenya-airways.com) will put the ‘KQ’ designator code on the Jambojet flights to the aforementioned destinations, allowing Kenya Airways (KQ) to sell the Jambojet flight network to passengers coming from worldwide destinations.

16 Feb 2018 – Jambojet plans for four more aircraft as it takes off to Uganda. Budget airline Jambojet plans to acquire four aircraft over the next 18 months to support its regional and local expansion. Willem Hondius is Jambojet’s chief executive officer. He announced the plans on Thursday in Entebbe, Uganda during the launch of the airline’s maiden international flight.
